What I Love About Whole Home Audio Videoc

With Today’s Tech, All Media Really Is in Your Hands

The idea of a smart home has changed a lot in the last decade. We might not have flying cars or robot maids, but we do have something that, in my opinion, is just as important: technology that makes life more enjoyable.

With the holidays just around the corner, it seems fitting to take some time to talk about one of the systems that I consider to be an essential part of any smart home: whole home audio video. That’s a long, somewhat convoluted term for the entertainment devices that you use in multiple areas of your house.

Why do I recommend whole home audio video for my clients? I’d love to tell you. Keep reading, and then if you’re interested in adding the technology to a home in the Manalapan, Roseland, or Essex County area, give me a call.

Listen and Watch Your Way – in Any Room

I love the simplicity of turning on any song or film you’d like, whenever you’d like, all from your smartphone or tablet. With a press of a button, you can turn on music, switch on a TV show, and then change both in less than a minute! Let’s say you get bored of listening to a song in the living room or are ready to go upstairs to bed. Your songs can follow you into whichever room you enter, and you’ll still have control over your system from the same device.

Often times, family members have different musical tastes– I know mine do. Dad may prefer country music, and your kids may be in the mood for some pop. But you can listen to your favorite genre in one room, and stay completely unaffected by someone listening to theirs in another room (we achieve this by designing distinct audio zones – I can explain in more detail over the phone). Turn up your volume as they lower theirs. It’s one system, but endless ways to use it.

With access to your entire media library, you can pick any song or film upon request. If you have friends and guests over, use and show off your integrated CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays, as well as your streaming services. A huge advantage to locally hosted content is that you can be sure that the quality of the content will not be diminished due to bandwidth availability as is normally true with streamed audio/video. Whatever media you want, we can set it up to be accessible at the push of a button.

Always Have the Latest Tech

Total Home is a bit different from your average AV specialist. We recognize that new devices are coming out every day, and who wouldn’t want the latest and greatest in their home?

So we’ve developed a way to meet that need. If you want to buy the equipment outright, that’s great! But you don’t have to choose that option. Instead, you can lease certain equipment then easily upgrade once a newer model comes out. If you’re the kind of person who won’t be satisfied with last year’s technology, then this is a great option for you.

Why Now?

Usually, this is the time when homeowners start to think about prepping for the holidays. Maybe you’re planning on hosting a big Thanksgiving dinner or itching to start those Christmas music playlists.

It’s during this time that you’ll start noticing more and more how difficult it is to connect all of your different sound systems or sync up your televisions to all show the Macy’s Day parade. A whole home audio video system will be something that you enjoy all year long, but the odds are likely that you’ll get a ton of use out of it during the holidays.
